This quote is from the best selling book Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson, the American who has built over 78 schools in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
We all know this is true. That is why in 2010 our projects in PNG (even as we continue the medical clinic and the wells for safe drinking water) will be:
• Adult literacy for women
• Funding for girls’ school fees
• Reading books for everyone
There are literally NO BOOKS in the village schools and libraries are non-existent. Na Wokabaut will be sending a container of books to the Waghi Valley in late 2009.
